What are the risks associated with rhinoplasty surgery?

Desperately need advice!! My younger sister who is 15 years old met with an accident recently. Her nose is broken and she finds difficult to breathe. Her doctor told she has to undergo a rhinoplasty surgery asap or else it will affect her health negatively. We are taking her to Dr. Philip Solomon in Toronto as suggested my her doctor. I'm really scared as I have heard it is one of the complicated surgeries and I'm worried about her health. She is very much conscious about her looks and I don't know how she will react to this. I heard there will be scars after the surgery, I just want to know how to get rid of those scars? And also, the risks associated with the surgery.  

I had rhinoplasty when I was 19. There are no scars on the outside of the nose. Make sure the surgeon is reputable. I just had to take it easy for a few weeks or my nose would bleed. It was really not a big deal.

Some patients have scars after rhinoplasty, but usually they are barely visible (some patients don't have scars et all, it depends on type of surgery).  Later your sister may try laser scar removal (but I don't think she will need that).  Risks associated with surgery: nosebleed, infections, nose imperfections (including asymmetry).

It is indeed something that shouldn't be taken lightly since it will be a part of the face, which is an important feature of every person. It will actually depends on the surgeon since it can be performed as open or closed surgical approach. The difference between the two is with closed approa*****isions are placed inside the nostrils, while with open approach the incisions is utilized and connected across the columella. This kind of incision permits the nasal skin to be lifted upward giving the needed exposure for the underlying anatomic structure. Your sister's surgeon or doctor can further explain the difference. 
However, if it will be a choice between the two, performing a closed rhinoplasty can have no external incisions but the factor such as how much columellar a patient has is to be consider for an incision to be visible or not.
