Apron surgery 4 years out and now having sores on the incesion
on 7/18/15 6:04 am
I'm sorry you're having troubles. I'm 3 weeks out from abdominoplasty and have been using large hospital gauze pads, about the thickness/width of 2 feminine pads, as a protector between my incision and the binder to prevent sores and irritation. Please call your surgeon to get help on dealing with these as it could be anything from irritation to an infection. Do not wait it out.

I am nearly 6 months out from my anchor TT and if I eat too much (like over this weekend) and move in bed wrong it feels like it is pulling. But at 4 years out I dont know, have you put on weight? Maybe it is scar tissue build up, can you feel any firm areas around the site? Try massage...
Good luck

Sores at 4 years out does sound strange. I would call your surgeon and ask. Let us know what he says.

Did you lose more and have a little "overhang" of skin over the incision? You shouldn't have any sores at this point. You should be totally healed and hopefully the scar should be faded to nothing by now. Call your PCP and have them check that out.
