I am so happy for you and I am glad you have this surgery behind you. It sounds like it was a major ordeal, but now you can move on from it and heal. Your entire journey (weight loss/plastics) is almost over. You are going to look beautiful and feel beautiful and be happy within yourself. It is amazing what you have accomplished! I am so impressed with your entire journey. You should be so proud of yourself! God Bless!
Very true! I had three procedures. The worst by far was the second one- the liposuction of my thighs and calves. It took a long time to feel better . The lower body lift was Donne first and while the recuperation was uncomfortable, I was able to be out and about in 2 weeks.
After the Lopo, I was unable to maintain fluids , my BP dropped alarmingly low. I was in the MD's office hooked up to an IV to get enough fluid.
The last was skin removal of my thighs. That wasn't so bad and 2 months later I was able to go on vacation in St Martin, in a size 12 bathing suit!
I have continued to lose weight and am down to a 10.
Pre VSG, I wore a 32! Pre plastic surgery I was an 18. It was so worth it! I would do it again in a NY minute!
Good luck.
Cool glad you're doing well Tracy that does sound scary, but glad it corrected itself quickly. It will be well worth it soon enough - this time is critical, don't try to do too much.
Good to hear that it went well. I do have a few off-topic questions. Since I noticed you lie in Omaha, I need to know if you have any suggestions for VSG friendly restaurants near the Ralston arena? I am competing at the State Games of America on the 29th & 30th. DH (Mike B) is running the 5K road race in Lincoln on 8/1. It will be his 1st race since a full marathon that he ran on a broken foot that he didn't know was broken.
Also, are there fun things to do in the area while we are there? I do want to watch some of the other sports since I will have a pass to all events. But I'm hoping there are other things to do around town too. Thanks
Here's a link for a few restaurants close to the arena: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&e spv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=ralston%20ne%20restaurants
Don't let Ragazzi's scare you off with the pizza name - there's salads, sandwiches, phillies and other things you can make work. The same with Maria's.
As for other fun things to do - not directly in Ralston :-) But you basically are in the Omaha metro area. The Omaha Zoo is well-known and awesome; Joslyn Museum; Durham Museum (a favorite of mine and has an Egyptian exhibit too right now); Lauritzen Botanical Gardens; the Old Market (LOTS of good eats there!). Here's another link so you can do some research:

Best of luck to you and hubby at the State Games!
