Pic from eight weeks post-op LBL and BL
I have loved everything about working with him! Tell him Emily sent you :) My recovery was not bad at all. Surgery Friday, super painful Saturday night (first night at home) and then Sunday it was like I had turned a corner! I was back to work Tuesday afternoon, out with friends on Friday night (seven days post-op - with my drains in my pants pockets ha ha) and I was back to walking 10,000 steps a day as of day 13 post-op. Dr. Michaels' work is fabulous and you will be shocked how small and exact the incisions are, and how fast they heal. I wish you great luck and ask if you have any questions!
Where have you been Em? Missed you around here :)
And you are looking pretty hot I must say. So glad you are thrilled with your outcome. You've worked so hard and it is super to see you enjoying yourself so thoroughly!
Good for you wearing a bikini. I just bought one yesterday in bright orange of all colors. I hope I can muster up the courage to wear it in public this summer when we are in Antibes. Ash
Do it, Ash! I still have droopy skin on my legs and arms but I don't care lol. I mean, my stomach looks good so I may as well wear a bikini for the first time in my adult life, I figure :) I have been traveling wayyyyy too much for work - just got home last night for two days before a quick 5 day holiday in Cancun with friends. I am excited but I need to be home to eat on plan - this scale this morning was pretty horrifying :( How are you feeling? Do you feel all healed and better? I am sure your family is happy to have you on the mend!
You sure do get around! I think Laura describes her thighs as a hot mess which pretty much sums up how mine look and feel. I have skin that folds over my knees. So no mini skirts or dresses for me!
The second surgery despite it's set of complications - I really am special- seems to have fixed my pain and eating problems.i gained 6 pounds the first week off bed rest. WTH? I am proof that malabsorption ends between 18-24 months postoperative. Maintenance is a tricky *****
I'm so happy you can globe trot so soon after the LBL. Careful of the sun on your scars! I'll post an orange bikini photo in July when at least the saggy skin will be tan! Have a great trip- ash
lol...yep. My thighs are a hot mess, but I am too old to care any more. I do wear a bikini and love doing so.
I hope you feel better soon, Ash!!

My legs are a hot mess too and do NOT look good in shorts or skirts that are short. Thank god for maxi dresses! I am also proof that maintenance is a tricky ***** It sucks way worse than the losing period.
I am just SO glad you are feeling good. Pain and eating problems are NOT fun.
I will be sure to keep my scar out of the sun. I hadn't even thought of my belly button being a scar. It look so natural. My doctor is incredible. Incidentally, he is being featured on the main page of OH today :)
Have a great night!
