? For patients and docs re: hypotension, bradycardia, and syncope
hello. I have a massive amount of skin that is very loose from my body pretty much everywhere after 188 pound loss. For the past 3 months, I have had very frequent dizziness and fainting. I have been seeing a cardiologist and have an implanted heart monitor. Testing has shown autonomic dysregulation (HR and BP not regulating). My heart rate can be very low (30s-50s). When I stand, it spikes up like it should to 100s-120s, but then rapidly drops to 50 after a minute and I pass out. Due to the delay, I am wondering if it has to do with abnormal feedback from the peripheral vessels in the loose skin. Possibly baroreceptors are also affected. tight compression garments help a bit, which I think supports my theory.
Has anyone had this sort of problem or treated someone who did? Would skin removal restore more accurate feedback and decrease my symptoms??
