I just wanted to wish you well and say  that man o man do I need a butt lift LOL!!  I truly hope you get the results you want, in whatever time frame works out for you.  In the end, I think you'll be happy with whatever decision you make,  because both options seem great.  Take care!

Tracy, I had the LBL with a hernia repair, including all the things that you listed. My surgeon also does the layering of internal stitches and only steri strips on the skin - no visible stitches at all (although if you look at Nikke's results with Capella's pie crust stitching, six months down the road her incision line is the same as mine...) and the procedure took 4.5 hours. I think being under for 8 is a long time just for the LBL. A second point - I did some research into Dr G and Dr S in Mexico and they both seem really good. If I had to make a choice today though I would have also opted for Dr G. Good luck with it all! So worth it! Is Capella too far for you to consider? He is really excellent. As is LoMonaco...their results (from what I have seen in pictures and heard from patients) are amazing.

Thanks for you input, Julia - I really do value it!  If I'm going to travel and have to stay someplace for 7-10 days I'd prefer it be somewhere close to family or within driving distance of home.  

My oldest daugther lives just north of San Diego so I could hang out there and travel back-and-forth to see Dr G if needed (once I'm released from the recovery center).  Kansas City is just 2 hours from where I live so that's just a matter of a 1-2 nights there and then I'm back home.  

Back and forth, back and forth!   

I'm sure you will get some good information from this doctor, which can only help in your final decision. Good luck and please report back!

Sounds really exciting. 8 hours is quite a surgery. Good luck and you'll be in my prayers.

Dr Sauceda's price for an LBL is $7200.  That includes 12 nights at Hampton Inn and your time in the clinic with 24/7 nursing care.  He refunds up to $600 of your airfare when your cost is over 7k.  If you combine any other procedures the price goes down as you are already in the OR.  You also get 2 compression garments, visit daily from his RN Paty when you are at the hotel to help with your shower, and redressing your stitches, and food while in the clinic.  Your only costs are food at the hotel and if you decide on tips.  You are picked up by Dr Sauceda's driver at the airport and he picks you up the night before your mark up and the next morning for your surgery and takes you back to the hotel when you are ready.
