Hi everyone. Looks like I am set for surgery on Monday. Just curious on the recovery time and how much pain is involved? Any thing else that might help as well. Getting a bit nervous.

Thanks.

Best of luck to you.  You'll do great!

Just curious.  What is a corset body contour?

I'm having a tummy tuck Monday afternoon, too.  Lets compare notes next week!

best wishes,

Carol

I guess some doctors use different names but I had a corset body lift in December.  The pain was very minimal for me and the recovery time would have been about 2 weeks had my incision not opened up.  Nothing to worry about though, I just don't do well with surgery in general. I was up walking around the next day and with this you can lay flat on your back so sleeping was easy.  Getting up was a bit difficult but only for a day or so.  Even with the fact that it took longer to heal I would do it all over again if I could.  I am 100% satisfied with the results and I find myself looking in the mirror alot more often now. LOL

I had my surgery a week ago Friday.  Expect a lengthy recovery.  I'm trying to get through the day without pain meds, but I'm about to break that resolve.  I also haven't gotten my energy back.  And, I have no appetite.  They took about 12 pounds of lose skin off, and I've lost an additional 6-8 pounds.  The drains are a pain and I will be glad when they are removed.  I'm also not in love with the binder.  But I have a flat tummy.  While I'm not wild about the recovery, this will pass and I will be far less self concious and I can say goodbye to those nasty rashes.

And, now for those pain pills..

Remember there's nothing noble about being in pain and it's much easier to keep on top of the pain than to chase after it with medication once it's already unbearable!

I had a lower body lift and breast lift 3.5 weeks ago.  Here is my experience :)  Good luck!  I am thrilled with the results so far!
