LBL with picture

So I had my LBL on Monday. In all, they remove 18 pounds of skin. I had no Lipo, no muscle repair and as a result, no binder. I'm incredibly sore especially in my back, it's hard to stand up straight and the drains are a pain in the ass. They are much lower than I expects and one of them pulls quite a bit. I have an appointment this afternoon to have everything checked and make sure everything looks good.

A few things I've noticed, I'm standing almost completely straight at this point. I have hip bones that I can see which is amazing, and I'm in less pain overall than originally anticipated. The first picture was taken sunday night before surgery and the second was approximately two hours after surgery. I will update more as time goes on.

Please note im very swollen, doctor said I will flatten out and tighten up even more.

I can totally relate to the drainage tubes. Mine were in the exact same spot and they hurt every time I moved. I was very happy when they were removed a week later.

You look awesome. I am surprised you aren't wearing a binder though.

He said it wasn't necessary based on the fact they didn't repair any muscle, do any Lipo and I haven't had children. He said I could wear a Spanx garment if it made me feel more comfortable but he said it was unnecessary and told me Id probably be more uncomfortable with it. The girl who was next to me in recovery had a tummy tuck with lipo and she was in a binder. I'm not sure how they make the decision of who gets one and who doesn't but I'm certainly not complaining!

What an amazing transformation! I am sure that once you're healed up, you will be feeling better and looking fabulous. I hope you have a smooth and easy recovery period!

BTW- it was really amusing to look at you photo on photobucket and see it mocked up to buy as Christmas cards! Too funny!
