still swollen 8 weeks post posterior lift and....
8 weeks ago I have a posterior lift and lipo of flanks.... also had a complete front scar revision (from my tummy tuck a year ago). Now it's been 8 weeks, I am still feeling swollen, but more important, my waist seems bigger than pre surgery (none of my jeans fit like I went up a full waist size. I see my doc in 10 days, so I will know more, but just seems like I should be smaller than before, not actually have a larger waist.
Is being swollen 8 weeks post out of the norm? Honestly, as I write this I am starting to realize that its only been 8 weeks.... so of course I am still swollen! I just had major surgery with a 360 degree incision. LOL, anyway, any advice would be awesome!
Sorry, I can't help. I haven't had my surgery yet, but I would think that you are still just swollen.

You answered your own question - swelling. And I think the lipo makes it last a bid longer, or so I've heard. I haven't had any lipo myself. You just have to exercise patience. Swelling can go on for months, and surprisingly, you may find that you're not smaller when all is said and done, but you should be back in your old clothes at the least.

Yes,it is not unusual. The more trauma,ie surgery, there is the longer the swelling will last. I usually say on average, about 50% will go in about 2 months and rest over many months. You should see your plastic surgeon for you may have a seroma which would add to "swelling"!
