Stable weight
My doctors keep throwing around the phrase "stable weight" but never define it. Obviously a weight will not stay exactly the same for more than a few days. So what classifies as stable?
I was weight stable for 2 years before my plastics. Which for me meant that I'd stayed +/- 5lbs from 140. Most PS want to you weight stable for 6mo. That doesn't mean the few pounds that you go up and down normally.

Agree. I was stable (within 5 pounds) for 6 months. Basically you stop losing. I haven't seen 142 since April.

I usually prefer that my patients have lost their significant amount of weight from their procedures and then maintained that weight for at least 6months. This "stable weight" would mean that they don't lost over 20 more pounds and are in at least a 20 pound range.

My PS saw me for my consult when I still wanted to lose a little bit of weight. He told me not to lose more than 10 -20 lbs more, but was comfortable scheduling my surgery 4.5 months out from there.
I have been slowly losing -- 9 lbs over the past few months. I might lose 5 more before the surgery. I had lost ~100 before I went in for the consult.
