UGGGHHHH Swelling - help!!
I had a complication in my right leg after a medial extended thigh lift. I am I'm 4 months out and that leg still swells and the surgeon said he didn't do anything that would cause it. With the heat I gave up on my compression garments. My surgeon doesn't have you wear them I was doing it on my own because of the swelling.
I was in my compression garments for 3months, and couldn't get back into my jeans until month 4. Yoga pants were the best I could do. I did wear my compression garment nightly for 2 years, had a few nights where I didn't. But the swelling would go away during the day and come back in the evening.

Yes, it is swelling and it will go down. You can ask your plastic surgeon what the weight was of the tissue he removed and then subtract that from the weight that you were right before surgery and you should get to that weight within several months. Initially you have weight gain because all the remaining tissues are swollen and especially if he used tumescent solution and a lot of it.

My waist was 27" pre-plastics. Immediately after plastics it was 31". I almost had a stroke...lol. By the end of the first month, 3 of those excess inches were gone. It took a few more months to get rid of the last inch. My waist is still 27". I did not go down in size after my lbl.
Hang in there!!
