weighing after plastics

It's probably unlikely that you're carrying much, if any, water weight from swelling at three months post-op. I always think its best to just rip off the Band-Aid. Hop on the scale and then deal with the number. There are only two outcomes... you'll either be able to let go of your anxiety or you'll have to get a plan. Either way, you'll know the truth and move forward.
One of the first things I learned after my DS was to step away from the scale!
I only weigh myself every couple of weeks, and I continued with that after my thigh skin reduction.
If I've gained more than 10 pounds n a short amount of time, I know it's from swelling.
I usually don't have to get on the scale to determine that, because I can see and feel the puffiness and
increase in size.
I don't freak out about any sudden gain, because I know it's only swelling, and it will go away.
I think as formerly obese people, we are still conditioned to go into panic mode when we see the
numbers on the scale going up.
I have weighed myself the day of surgery and everyday since. I weighed 147 the morning of surgery and now 4 days post op I weigh 159. I would rather know the weight than have it be a random surprise months from now so I track it steadily.. I've not had much if an appetite since surgery so I'm sure mine is just my body retaining water from the trauma of surgery.
My PS had my hubby hide my scale. She wants me to focus on healing and not freak out over the scale. I had an inner thigh lift & TT and do have a considerable amount of swelling.

TT & Inner Thigh Lift 8/29/14
My GP asked me about what my ideal weight was when I told him I was going for a TT and Lipo - I said Ive basically been at my predicted weight for 1.5 years - which is 180 and I'm really comfortable here - it's a weigh I have bounced back to in the past and I think it's just a weight my body is comfortable holding on to - that at this point it's more about how I look and feel than what the actual number is...that said - I can tell you I will be on that scale every few days about 2 weeks post op to monitor!!!
Currently 180 - 76 lbs lost! Surgery 11/7/12, 36 years old, 5'8". I live in Hong Kong and it's a bit different here!
