Happy with Results (Already!)

I had a tummy tuck with pubic lift on August 15th. I'm happy to say my recovery has gone very well.

It was day surgery so I was home by 5pm. I was off morphine two days after surgery and off all pain meds by 4 days after surgery.

The best part of the surgery was yesterday when I put underwear on. (Now before you start wondering the compression garment I have has a flap that goes between my legs because I had a pubic lift so it was easier to just not wear underwear while I was recovering). I put on a pair of low rise panties that before surgery would be stretched over my tummy. They fit normally. I am so excited!

I just wanted to share because I know my incision lines are gross. My belly button doesn't even look like a belly button and the area where the two incisions meet is still swollen and not closed up all the way. The tip of my pubic area has this weird spot. I could be all stressed out about all that but I'm not.

Congratulations!  Sounds like all's going well.  Everything (incision, bb, weird spot) is going to improve or disappear with time.  No need to explain about going commando - I existed in my compression garment and a sweatshirt for weeks.

Except for dropping off and picking up my son from day camp, I didn't go out at all last week. This week I have to go back to work and thus into public, I thought underwear might be a good idea :)
