Hypertophic Scarring

I knew beforehand that I would not scar well, since I have a tendency toward hypertrophic scarring...I heal *too* well, and too fast.

My PS gave me a silicone gel preparation called New Gel + E, but does anyone have something that worked well on scars for them?  Not necessarily prescription, but something you might have gotten OTC that worked well.  Already got Vitamin E oil, pure cocoa butter and pure shea butter.

I have been using Scar Away silicone sheeting for my scars.  I had an abdominoplasty in early June. It has helped tremendously.  It is cheapest through Amazon, and if you take good care of them, they last about 2 weeks (the package says one week).

I have been using my ScaRxtape for a number of years and I feel it is just as effective as any other treatment including all the silicone gels at much less cost as well as easier to use! You apply the tape once per week on average over the scars and keep it on through showering and use it for about 2-3 months. www.ScaRxtape.com
