Tightness after tummy-tuck

I had a tummy-tuck 9 months ago and at the same time they lifted more skin to repair a hernia.  They warned me that there would be numbness which I accept.  There is still a feeling of tightness almost like wearing a corset that gets worst after eating, sitting for a while or at the end of the day.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

NORMAL on both counts.
My TT was August 2011 and I still have numbness on my left crotch groin area and at the end of the day a tightness in my scar as well as a certain itchiness but from the inside with jk way to scratch it.

Numbness is normal.  It may go away or you may have some residual numbness.  It's kinda weird feeling, but you get use to it.

The tightness is also normal for me, too.  I feel like there's a band wrapped around my lower ribs all the way down.  Not a big deal most of the day, but by evening, it gets (or feels like it gets) tighter.  It has gotten better over time - I'm 18 months post-op - but still definitely there.  Most days, I don't notice it.  But some days it can get pretty uncomfortable.

I had a lower body lift and if I sit too long, I stand up and feel like my skin is too tight. I feel like I need a ton more skin. LOL I think part of that feeling is my 20 years of fat insulation and so much skin. It's more of a mental adjustment for me than physical.

It is better to still have the feeling of tightness rather than it being loose. You may want to revert back to your binder though if you have a lap band, there may need to be an adjustment, removal, of some fluid!
