Guys, I am having  Tummy Tuck and Breast lift soon in 3 days. I want to know if there is a cream to help fade out the scars. I plan on having Fleur de something whatever the name is LoL. so a huge long scar anyway.

Thanks in advance

I am using gorgonium cream. Not sure how available it is where you are. My plastic surgeon swears by it.

Mine was prescribed but I am in Switzerland so no idea how it would work in other countries. Ask your surgeon or at the drug store.

I use bioCorneum plus SPF 30 Advanced Scar cream as per my plastic surgeon.  It is a bit pricey, but I found it on Amazon, which is a little cheaper than getting it at my doc's office.

I used it for my lower body lift scars, and those scars healed nicely.

I have been using scar tape for many years and I have recently started manufacturing it at ScarxTape.com. It is extremely economical , especially compared to the other products out there and lasts a long time for don't need to change it for a week even with showering. It is just as effective and easier to use as any cream/silicone sheeting, etc. Read the clinical studies on the page. I recommend that my patients wear it beginning immediately after using the steristrips for two weeks and continuously for at least two months!

I had a thread farther down asking about silicone scar tape.  Is your ScarxTape a silicone tape? My surgeon doesn't recommend using any so I don't know how to use it.  How far after surgery do you recommend placing the tape if the surgeon doesn't use steristrips?

You definitely need to support the scars for the best healing right from the beginning. I am surprised that your plastic surgeon doesn't use steri-strips initially. He must support the incisions differently or maybe he has had problems with the steris. Some patients do get blisters with them initially because of the swelling and/or some are allergic to the glue or another glue(mastisol or benzoin) that some doctors put on before the steri-strips. I try and not use either one for I have seen allergic reactions to them. Some of my patients(very few) do react to the steri-strips and then I remove them, wait until heals and start my ScarxTape.

It does not have silicone but I have formulated it to be hypoallergenic(though some patients may still react to it). I would start using it as soon as possible and continuously for months to help achieve the best scars!

It isn't he doesn't use steri-strips, I just don't know for sure.  He used stitches for the face lift.  I didn't ask what he was closing with for the thigh lift.

Are they Glycerin based than?  I ordered two roles yesterday.  We apply as soon as the incision heals and than for two months right?  Start at the end of incision and all the way up.  They are left on to shower?  What about in the groin?  Do we put them on there too?
