No, dear, don't look at it that way. You are going to be so amazed at the difference in your appearance when that tummy and mid-section skin "disappear". I did not post before pictures because, well, they were just too awful. I am so excited for you. You WILL BE BEAUTIFUL!

Whoop-whoop to all of us gentlewomen of a certain age! For me, the plastics procedures have been a matter of choosing my battles; after all, I am not 32, but, do want to look like the lovely 59 year old I am. I've taken the soft and easy approach, and staged my procedures - one project at a time with several months inbetween. I did not have the muscle tightening with the anchor cut. I understand that the recovery with that is pretty intense. Surgeon said my muscles were ok- and they are. Give you self plenty of gentle time and patience in recovery- take it slow and go on your timetable. You will do fine. When I was young, I could paint and redecorate/rearrange a huge room in one day. Now, it may take me three days. The results are the same-beautiful. Same way with the plastics. Best of results and healing to you. Bonnie

Yep, that is exactly what I had done and I had to pay $2,000 over what insurance covered. Worth every friggin penny! My stomach is perfectly flat and I absolutely love how I look! The scars are obvious on my very pasty white skin, but I am confident they will fade with time. The mons area still swells up, the area by the belly button where the hernia was repaired also still swells. I still have some numbness, but it is slowly improving. I would do it again in a heartbeat
When my PS surgeon showed me before/after pics of his work I just assumed that he chose the very best photos and that no way in heck could I ever look that good. I do. My abdomen is that of a 20 year old. I love it! I had a terrible, terrible muffin top and even with spanx it buldged out. None of that going on now!
Recovery wasn't too bad. I took of a month of work, and took it easy after that.
