botox and fillers (x-post)

Well I do not want a facelift, but I want to not look so old. I am 69--I can not believe it. 9 years out from RNY--trying to lose 20 lbs regain. Good surgery--my doctor thinks I am a model patient. BUT my face is really showing age. I think part of it is inherited, but some is weight gain and losing fat face. Anybody have had botox or fillers to lift face??
I just had the face lift. I had a complication so he had to re-do one side while swollen. This left deep wrinkles under the eyes and nose bridge. I was wondering about this rather than had him try redoing the FL. There is one person here I know of that had FL and fillers. I hope she responds to your post.

With weight loss and/aging, our faces and necks(as well as the rest of our body) sag as well as lose fat. Once there is excess skin, in order to get the best improvement, you need to remove it. But, for a temporary fix(weeks to about year or two), then you could get fat injections/fillers. Botox works by paralyzing temporarily muscles but it causes no filling. Unfortunately, fillers are expensive but effective in the short term.
