skin after a tummy tuck
Up and down I cannot pinch anything. Side to side I can pinch a little. I was on the fence as to whether or not to get the fleur de lis (after losing 200 pounds I had a ton of excess skin). I did not because for me the vertical scar was not worth it. I am 3 years out and thrilled with my results.

That's great Laura. My surgeon doesn't think I need a t cut and I've been worried about whether I would be tight. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! How great for you! I only lost 120 pounds before my tt. But he took off 17 lbs of skin from my belly. I had the surgery on 4/25 and had a couple of questions for you. I had my mons lifted and it's soooo very swollen and even a little red. And my belly is puffy above my scar. I know I am only 5 days out, but when will the swelling start to subside? I am wearing my binder everyday only taking it off to shower. My doctor said that I am healing perfect and doing great, it I just need some reassurance Fromm someone that has had it done. Because right now it looks like I have little love handles or a pot belly. Please tell me when your started going down some. I know that this will take months even up to a full year before I have the final results, but I'm having a little buyers remorse lol. I had my tubes tied at the same time and I think that my hormones are a little wanly and that is not helping my situation haha

Initially, you should not be able to pinch much but as the swelling goes down, you may have some looseness returning. Unfortunately, patients that have lost significant amounts of weight elastic/collagen fibers have been damaged and more laxity can sometimes occur. I sometimes do a small revision in about a year under a local anesthetic in office to help this.
