Ok kids how long did you keep your drains?  I lost one a week out -surgery February 13 (removed 17 pounds) drain number 2 is still going strong. Dr said it needed to be less than 30 cc in 24 hours I actually measured yesterday did 50 cc from  10 am to 10 pm I did notice its lighter  in color this morning.  Today it's more yellow than bloody is this an indicator of it slowing down?

Yes, that it is yellow from bloody is a very good sign.

The drain is a good thing. Keep it in as long as necessary. If not and the fluid is left inside, it could develop a sac inside of you surrounded by scar tissue; that would not be good. Drains are your friends right now...maybe frenemies :)

Take care and be patient.
