What did you use for pain control

I am considering a complete body lift. However, I can not have any pain medication that is related to morphine in any way. I am wondering what you were given in the hospital and what you took when you got home? I can take Vicodin, but I've been told that for the first couple of weeks it won't touch the pain.

Lortab, which I think is a tylenol/opioid combo, and valium for muscle spasms.  I didn't feel like the valium helped much, except for putting me to sleep.  The lortab worked well.  I could feel it kick in about 5 minutes after taking it. But both lortab and morphine are opioids, so it's probably not for you.
