How were you able to get your insurance to pay for it? I am DEEPLY intrigued. :)

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Okay, now I'm curious again too. If this is too personal, please forgive me! I know you had a tummy tuck (muscle tightening), not just the panni removal and both were approved due to medical necessity. I'm thinking your insurance must be better than mine. Mine approved the panni removal as a medical necessity because of the rashes, different prescriptions over seven years, plus I maintained over a 100 pound weight loss. Very thankful for that. However, Dr. Jeffries office didn't try for the muscle tightening tummy tuck part because my insurance considers that cosmetic. Is yours different? I'm wondering with the problems they found when doing the tummy tuck (display from pregnancy, fascia at top stretched 3 inches each side from previous seroma then hernia, etc.) if the PS could then say medical necessity and I could try for reimbursement. Anyone done this before? I have BCBS.

My priority health covers abdominoplasty and panni under the same policy, so I had to ask the office to submit the 2nd part.  They didn't do it automatically.  I had read my coverage and new it to be covered.

I don't know BCBS requirements, call them and ask.  Hernia I would think to be a covered item, but it would have to be coded as hernia and that is not why you went in.  IDK cant hurt to ask BCBS.
