Just out of the mailbox...

Excess skin removal from hips, legs and thighs...APPROVED!!!!!!

I've got until the end of January to work out the kink of getting another surgeon on board.   I got a letter this week from the original surgeon, saying that he's retiring December 31st.  Tried to convince him to make me me his absolute last pateint...no luck.

If I can't find another surgeon, I'll be living with the skin.  This was the eighth time I've attempted this, and I absolutely cannot go through this again, if this doesn't work out.

Pray to your Lrd that you find a Pas who will help you or that this PS decide to do you before he retires.
You deserve it and I am so ecstatic for your approval after all your struggles!

Good luck in finding a surgeon or that the one who is retiring will do yours first. I am 5 years post op and still have all and I mean all the excess skin. I get rashes but have not found anyone here local to remove the skin where I do not have to come up with money before hand. So I guess I will be stuck with the skin for the rest of my life. So even though I have lost a lot of weight to me I still am fat because of all this skin.

That is what I felt like. It was not until I had all my redundant skin and fat remove recently that I finally no longer felt big.

Don't give up!

If you haven't started already, document every rash and treatment connected to the excess skin.

This was not an overnight thing for me.  It took me more than a year and a half to get to this point.

I got copies of medical charts, made copies of my notes, and got all of that to the insurance company.
