Anyone have a revised tummy tuck?

I love that

I like these plastic surgeons who care for their art and their patients so much that they are happy to make tweaks to refine the work.

He basically cut me all the way around again except for about 4 inches above the mons and below the navel so that he did not disturb that area.  The skin was re-tightened top and bottom and smoothed out.  I have a little excess pouch about 1 inch wide that when I bend over will protrude just a little but standing up everything is perfect and flat.

Tess,

Can you comment on your recovery for the redo? I had a really tough time post op from the original surgery but I have been told a revision is much easier...

My tummy tuck revision was a breeze.  It is the muscle plication that hurts like the devil but I did not have that again.  Now my butt and thigh lift hurt some but not near the pain that I felt at the first surgery of the fleur de Lis Tummy Tuck.  I think you will be just fine.  Now if you have your muscles repaired again then my suggestion is to stay ahead of the pain with your meds.  This lasted for me about 7 days but what is 1 week of pain for great results.  I hope your surgery is as pain free as possible for you.  Good luck.

I had a tummy tuck in April then decided to do my entire body in Oct. So the TT was revised to a LBL. I also had an UBL and inner thigh lift at the same surgery.

Cons - the cost, recovery sucks

Pros - having a great body

Oh man thanks for the input!!!  I'm feeling better about it.  I'm no stranger to surgeries (3 c/sections, VSG, TT, Breast), however I'm scared of that incision around the back!  Having the incision on the front is ok when you lay on your back.  but how do you lay down right after surgery?!  I'm sure its ok and I'd survive, but those are really  my only worries.  I've done the drains, I've done the wound care and all that.  I am happy to hear that when he 'tucks' my hips and lower back, it will pull my outter thighs up!  I need something done to my inner thighs (think stretch marks from pregnancies and now deflated flab) but I'm scared of that surgery too!  So I'll leave those be for now.

I did not have pain with the back incision. What was so freaking painful was my tailbone because there was no fat on it for padding. It finally went away but for weeks I had a hard time sitting or lying down. I think I am outside the norm for this, though.
