Is there an average recovery period after brachio and breast reduction?

I'm thinking of having these two procedures done (at the same time) in 2014 and am trying to figure out how much time I'd need out of work. My job is 90% sitting at a desk and 10% walking between offices. No lifting, stretching, etc. When I met with the surgeon a year ago for a consult/to get an idea of how much $ I'd need to save, he seemed more focused on recovery after the belt lipectomy (which may happen in 2015). I KNOW that'll be a lengthy recovery (like 8 weeks). But for the upper body work...is there an average? Two weeks? Three?

Thanks!

I would have been fine with 2 weeks off for arms and boobs.

I had a breast and arm lift on Oct 24 (plus an anchor tummy tuck with extensive hernia repair). Had I just had the arm and breast lift, I could have returned to work after one to two weeks. I also work in an office, mostly on a computer. Just considering my breasts and arms, it would have been two weeks until I thought I could attempt it. Breasts have been painless (I forget sometimes that anything was even done to them) but my arm incisions have been a bit irritated, especially after stitch removal on day 8. My arms and especially hands were quite swollen until Saturday, after my PS suggested wrapping the ace bandages on my arms less tightly, taking it easy, and focusing on elevating my arms and hands more. They may swell again since my lymphatic system in learning some new connections. I can fully extend my arms now and would be allowed to try lifting my 3-year-old, if it weren't for the hernia repair. Everyone's surgeon and everyone's experience is different, of course. Hope this helps.

You had it all done at one time? The nurse told me it would take too long to do it all at once, that the doc wouldn't want to keep me under that long.

Can you lift your arms above your shoulders now? Above your head? My arm lift was on Oct 10 and I still cannot do so. My axilla are open and not healing. My arm lift recovery sucks and I have been sedentary as far as using them. I am mostly typing. My husband still does all the cooking and has laundered my clothes and changed the linens on my bed - yes I am still sleeping in the guest bed and sleeping on my sides is difficult because of the arm pain.
