I love this site.  Used it when I was researching for weight loss, and so happy that they have a PS forum.  I too was overweight most of my life starting from a toddler.  I will be celebrating my 4 year anniversary from wls on the 17th.  Having wls was the best thing I've ever done.  I could use a TT,  butt lift and a boob job, but those areas of my body are not seen under clothes.  Thighs are.  I'm 57 and my thighs look like my 91 year old mother!

Thanks for your well wishes.  I have an early date with my PS!

Take care and I will update when  can.

Most plastic surgeons don't want patients thinking of plastics as a weight loss measure.  They prefer to not talk about "how much will I lose from my thigh lift" etc.  The fact that you should be at a stable weight before plastics - and without the desire to gain or lose post op, tells you that your goal is improvement from excess skin, not weight loss.

No problem wanting more pounds, however, you stated how surprised you were that you could not find more information on weight loss with plastics and that is why I stated what I did.  I had 4 consults before I chose my surgeon and every one of them was very "put off" by the question of "how much weight will be removed" -- they all said pretty much the same thing, "plastics is not meant as a weight loss measure and if that is the opinion you have of surgery, you need to lose more on your own."  I am sure that is the reason, you have not found much information on the topic.

My recovery is going great!  Been off of pain meds since Monday.  I'm still a little sore, but each day gets better.  I never imagined that my recovery would be so easy thus far (knock on wood!).  My incisions look great, can't wait to get the drains out on Tuesday.  Took a good look at my thighs last night, and they look great.  Going to get my daughter to take some pics later today that I will post in my thread that has my before pics.

Wishing you all the best for your surgery.  I'll be sending you healing prayers.  Keep me posted.
