I am scheduled to have surgery on the 14th and trying to find out what kind of weight loss can be expected.  I am 5'4 and have lost 130 pounds and have been overweight all my life.

Your surgeon should be able to tell you how much weight he thinks he will cut off. I had 11lns cut off and a liter of fat lipo from my upper and lower body lift and thigh lift. I also lost another 20lns but most of that was from the tummy tuck plication. I could not eat!

She is doing a incision around the groin and then down to the knees.  I am excited I am surprised I could not find more postings on the web of how many pounds people lost.

Be sure to measure your thigh and above the knee pre op. It is a great way to measure your improvement post op. Wishing you a speedy recovery and great outcomes. I love my thighs!

I am so ready I started my weight loss from 279 pounds and now at 145 at 5'4.  I have always had weight issues since from the age of 9 or so.  Never wore shorts and when and if I did I always felt awkard in them as if everybody is stairing.  I am currently in a size 8 jeans and probably go be in a 6 when the thigh lift is done.  She did a breast lift for me 2 years ago and took extra side fat there and happy with the outcome there.  My stomach doesn't have much excess because when I had my son 25 years ago they had to do a tummy tuck because I had exterior ulcers that would not heal unless I had the tummy tuck.  So ready for this!!!

That's awesome.  I had some weigh****cher member ask if I would show them a before and after pic and I thought what the heck - if it can help them decide it that is what they want when they reach their goal I am all for helping them.

Never did I think I would show my before photos, no less my nude photos, to anyone privately... and Dr. Capella convinced me to show them publicly! it turned out to be a good thing!

I think it is a good thing - we can help so many by showing them.  I enjoy going to the meetings and to help give inspiration to others.  How much weight did you lose before your surgeries?

I agree. My photos, particularly in the interview article that Dr. Capella and I did together, continue to help a lot of people. I am glad I posted the photos publicly. I was only going to post the after because I did not want people to see my big fat naked belly. But Dr. Capella kind of egged me on saying that people could not appreciate the transformation unless they saw the before. So I did. And it was good for me, too, because it was very freeing to openly express myself in such an intimate way.

I was 285lbs and had gastric bypass in 2003. I felt like I was going to die before that. I was a processed food junkie and couch potato on 10 prescription medications for obesity related illnesses like diabetes and hypertension - such a dangerous combination with obesity. I was surely headed for an early grave!

I've maintained more than 100 lb weight loss all these years and my life is so much better since WLS. Plastic sugery was the mint on the sorbet! I lost weight after that, too, partly because they cut off the fat and skin and partly because I dieted and exercised. I weigh 165lbs now and I think I will be a size 6 when the swelling goes down.

I had to get rid of my entire wardrobe after plastic surgery. Everything was a size 14. Never did I imagine I would get this small after plastics. I love it.

What is your story?
