Need advice on tummy tuck!

Ask your doc if he/she will give you a pain ball. I had one for my LBL and I hardly had to take any other pain meds. Also, take it easy. This is not the time to be superwoman.  Ask for and accept help, in the long run you will heal faster and easier that way.

Honestly, I was scared to death about the pain from all of the stories that I read.  I've been through the same as you, two natural child births and RNY and a Fleur de lis tummy tuck on 9/11/13.  It definitely wasn't as bad as I had heard.  My tip to you is to take your pain meds on schedule for the first week, whether you think you need them or not, don't miss a dose and don't take them late. Rest when you can and as much as you can.  I slept in my recliner for the first two weeks after, it really helped by being more upright.  Make sure you are wearing a compression garment.  I barely had any swelling at all.  I actually am still wearing it on most days.
