Any experience with Cosmed Clinic in Tijuana?

I need a breast reduction. Dr. Quiroz`s Biography and website looks awesome. I spoke on the phone with him, and he sounds professional, but after I read all messages about him, it`s scares me. Do you know a good doctor for breast reduction in TJ?

Is a breast reduction all you need done at this time?  Or ever?  I know Dr Sauceda is excellent.  His aftercare is set up for you from the beginning and it's not left up to you to do anything. He does it all and the price is all inclusive if your surgery costs more than $7K.  I would not ever go to Dr Quiroz and I would not advise anyone else to go there either. 

MJ1 - you should not let all of what you read scare you... sometimes there are people out there that are just unhappy people, and they will find fault with WHOEVER they go to.

I personally have gone to Dr. Quiroz/ CosMed, and have had great success with my reduction..I have MANY friends that he as done surgeries for, some have even seen him 25 years ago, and recently went for MORE surgery, along with her mother!

Dr. Quiroz specializes in post weight loss surgeries. He has been a surgeon for over 27 years, and is one of only about 10 doctors IN THE WORLD who is internationally licensed, both USA and Mexico!!  He is a very caring and personable Doctor, and his bedside manor is amazing, as are the rest of the Dr.s at Cosmed! 

What people fail to realize, is that when we have damaged our bodies SO MUCH, there is no "perfect" surgery. All of these Doctors are not gods... they are surgeons who try to help us in the best way possible so that we can feel confident about our bodies, after what we have been through. As Obese people it is THAT much more difficult to help us to obtain that goal, of looking thinner, or removing all that extra skin as it would be for "the average person" who is just looking for a tummy tuck or something.

Take for instance in sewing... when you try to sew two pieces of fabric that are stretched and don't match, you will NEVER have a perfect seam. same goes for your skin (body). That will happen with ANY Plastic surgeon that you will go to. 

Remember that you get what you pay for... some of these "other doctors" that were mentioned as being cheaper or all inclusive, than CosMed/Dr. Q, there is a catch somewhere- i.e. shortcuts, or no after care costs.

At the Boutique at CosMed, you have 24 hour nursing care, in the same building as the surgeons, and they come check on you daily. 

As for the "horror stories" - there are ALWAYS stories... what one person would feel is the WORST, may not be for someone else... REMEMBER, this is elective surgery, and  there is always a risk associated with surgery, but my personal opinion is I will gladly take the scars over what my body USED to look like after I damaged it so badly.  They are now war wounds that remind me daily that I will NEVER go back to that unhappy place that I used to be in...
