has anyone gotten their insurance to pay for excess skin removal by calling it reconstructive? just wondering. I have paid my deductible for the year and if i had surgery it would be covered at 100%.

From what I understand this is an uphill battle.  There are lots of folks who will say to document your issues with rashes and infections so that you have evidence.  But based on a conversation that I had with my PS, it is rare that these are paid for unless there are severe issues.  I believe the most success that folks have had is with the panni removal, but anything beyond that is difficult to justify to the insurance company no matter what you call it.

Yes, I have had an extensive appeal overturned..now I am having a difficult time find a surgeon that will accept insurance for the procedures...panni, abdomplasty, hips and butt...they are self pay and will not accept ins. because they continue to shut me down when I tell them it has been deemed Medically Necessity/ reconstructive...
