L-Arginine...will this supplement really help healing?

I'm hoping to have a skin reduction/LBL sometime this fall.  I want to fortify my system so that healing will take place with few or no complications.  I've read that L-arginine supplements are a must-have for this, either in poweder mixed in with protein shakes, or in capsule form.

Can anyone she light on this?  It seems to me that all the amino acids are important components for healing.

The only supplements my PS suggested were Vitamin C and Zinc along with my usual MVI and I have been healing fine with no complications following my LBL & BA/BL two weeks ago tomorrow. PS seems very pleased with my progress. I suggest running any supplements you might be considering by your surgeon - I'm sure they'll want to know what you are taking and I'm sure they'll have a recommendation as well.

Best of luck!

Yes, a doctor told me this is helpful, and more important is glutamine. I take glutamine powder all the time.
