Hysterectomy and abdominoplasty tomorrow

I have to be to the hospital at 5:30 am.  That means getting up before 4 am to shower and drive.  :(  Cant wait for this to be over.  So looking forward to no more periods and skin removal :)

I have to do a bowel prep now.  PUKE- GAG- PUKE

I had that done, but didn't need the bowel prep, thank. God. You will be fine, just do a lot of walking post op to move the gas, they told me I would be in the hospital 4/5 days, I was done on Friday n discharged on Sunday and I was able to drive 8 days later.

i had cervical CA so it was a total hysterectomy I was cut from hip to hip that was 5 years ago and I still love my results

I was told just one night.  It is lap with robot assist, also an A & P repair (bladder & bowel tacking up)

Yep I am getting the hip to hip too.

It was all covered by insurance.  Medical necessity was met on abdominoplasty by rashes with prescriptions. TT was 8600 if I would have had to pay it.

I had A&P repair in 08 and noticed a huge vaginal difference but a bit of trouble with the bowels afterwards.

I am so swollen down there that I can hardly pee, I don't even want to think about BMs yet. OUCH

Also I keep coughing up crud, and that is killing my incisions!

Good luck to you!!! Are you having two different surgeons - one for abdominoiplasty and one for hysterectomy?

yep GYN surgeon for Hysterectomy with A & p repair then Plastic surgeon for abdomimoplasty.  Was about 5 hrs of surgery.

How are you? This must be pretty painful. Good luck on a speedy recovery!!
