Two weeks Post op- Extended arm lift and breast augmentation

He thought it would for 4 hours but ended up being 3 and a half hours (seems so fast!)
I got mentor 500cc silicone implants under the muscle placed thru the lower portion of the areola.
Silicone- it was like $1,000 more but worth it. Everyone person, including doctors say it feels and looks better. Dr. C didn't push me either way... I was surprised by that I think he is the only doctor that doesn't push silicone! This was not a question for me no way no how would I go saline. I had a deflated flat chest so I wanted the best I could put in my chest.
Profile- He does mostly high profile if he does silicone this was by far the biggest/hardest thing that I had to decide on. My research totally disagreed with high profile... we had several long talk about it. I was def going high profile or Mod+. 90% use Mod+ its suppose to give you a natural result and be softer. I was worried high profile would give me fake ball looking hard boobs, as all my research said. At the end of the day I just listened to Dr. C he said because I've lost weight I didn't have any upper pole fullness and I would be happier with high profile. He also said hes used lower profiles in the past and people weren't happy... Another thing I considered was my breast width. I did not want to go to over it because everyone advises against it. It i did Mod+ I'd have to go like 400cc or go way over. I am happy with my boobs right now and can't see the results yet. If I had a chance to change to mod+ right now I wouldn't do it. That may change in two months if they don't go down.
Size- This was kind of hard for me so what I did was type " 160 170 500cc under muscle" (my weight range and the CC I wanted to look at) that helped a lot. I also went on several consults all my doctors said 450-550 range. Dr. C said no lower than 500 but wanted me to go 550. I chose 500cc and wouldn't change it . Again this could change lol
Thanks - this is great info!!! BTW I thought your boobs looked very good in the white sports bra you wore in one of the vids. I cannot wait to see your next video.
When you lie flat on your back the high profile does not go down like a real breast would, does it just sort of stay in position? When you say that you did not want it to go over, do you mean to go over the sides of your body?
Now I have been told that the saline looks and feels more natural. Actually Scott was one of the people who said this.
Did Dr. Capella use the mentor sizing system? I think it is a bunch of inserts that you can put into your bra and see how you might look with that size and shape implant? I am not sure if that is how it works but I think it goes something like that. I am like you, lots of questions, and I find it tough to sometimes make the decision. I am hoping that I can just put inserts into my sports bra and see how the finished product will look.
I am excited for my boob job. Way back I sent Dr. Capella photos from his site and made notes of what I did not like. Then I had one patient who's boobs look exactly like I want to look. I asked him if he could make me look like that and he shook his head yes.
Mentor (owned by J&J) has an unbranded site with a ton of pix on it. You can do exactly what you did. Put in your physical criteria and find matches in different sizes.

Thank you... I just want to see how they will look in the end. its driving me crazy. I like the way they look in a bra and shirts. I little bigger or a little smaller is fine. I do feel a little mislead by Dr. C with my boobs, I did the same thing he didn't really look at the pics I gave him and I was perfectly clear that I didn't want anything fake looking- and what I have is fake looking now-
He also sent me a picture of what I would look like and its not the same, I hope it will be the same once they drop. I just keep telling myself that they are already way better and he didn't have great ones to work with to start with. I could live with everything except the fact the front cleavage does not match -I hate that- He said it would.
They fall a little bit but nothing like natural ones. They are also very hard when you lay down... that may go away it take min 3 months for final results. The shape is good, the size is good. Just want them to match and get softer. I go back and forth with the whole mod+ thing. Unless I hate my boobs in a year or something crazy happens (they pop or get hard) I'll keep them.
I have never ever heard anyone say saline feels/looks better, I mean look online ask any other doctor... silicone is better (or so they say) but as always it is up to you.
Yes he does and the sizers he gives you is actual size (most doctors put actual implant in yoru shirt and tell you when the implant is inside is will be 10% smaller) I like the Dr. C has the legit ones that will show you what they will really look like (its very accurate) Remember to bring a tight shorts bra to get the best idea of how you will look. I would also stay close to a number he suggests, its your body so you need to be happy but I wouldn't go crazy over or under what he says.
Oh, that is not good that you feel he did not listen to your desires. He and I had a 30-min phone consult after he reviewed my pix/notes with Scott but that was a long time ago. I will talk to him again about it during my pre op. I am very specific about what I want. And I am really picky.
As for settling for them looking better than they did, I feel that you should love your result and get what you paid for him to do. Hopefully when they fall it will look like what you wanted. My esthetician told me hers took a year to drop. The waiting is hard! I felt like my darn tummy would never be flat and then poof, there it is! But if its not what you like he will revise you for free. Of course you'd incur the OR and anesthesia costs. But if you do intend to do more surgeriy with him then doing the revision at that point is practically free in all regards.
One of the reasons I am spacing my surgeries 6-mos apart is so that I can see if I need any revisions to be done in the subsequent surgery.
What do you mean the front cleavages do not match... is one higher than the other? Wiill they be the same when they drop or do you think they are not positioned the same?
Now I am getting concerned for my results. Did he examine you and pull your skin to show you what you would look like?
I am seeing him twice before surgery. Once to go over my body, pull my skin, and show me where the incisions will be. And of course take photos. Then the day before surgery I will meet with him to go over any remaining questions.

I just feel bad because he is so nice I feel like I cannot complain about him work or tell him (or anyone this is the first time I've said anything remotely negative about him) I'm not 100% happy. I mean he did do a good job and I overall pretty happy its just not what I expected. Maybe I was not as clear as I should have been but I really thought I told him what I wanted. I don't know what if anything I could have said or he could have done would have changed the results. So in the mean time i will try to stay calm and wait 2 more weeks until I am 1 month out and see what he says. He did say they would change al lot and I know it is the truth because everyone says it.
Thats a great idea waiting to see if you need revisions. If I get more work done by him I will let him do revisions but if not I'm not sure it will be worth it I don't have more to keep going under. He does great arms and thigh... I believe that his specialty. I would like to get the thighs done by him depending on how insurance goes. I'm not sure what if any revisions he can do to my boobs t make them better.
Its hard to explain if you saw my vid you would see it. Like the crease of the cleavage don't match one side is higher than the other but in his defense it was like that before surgery but he made me feel like he would fix it and he didn't. One boob still needs to drop more so maybe that will help it. My left boob dropped faster and is softer right now.
Yes he pull my skin, especial for my arms and flanks. My arms are great, my flanks are good. At the end of the day if I had to do it all over again I would. Guess thats what really matters.
Yes. Dr. Capella is very gentle. You are not the first patient who has told me that they did not complain to him because he is so calming. So funny to hear you say this because I told him recently that I am always so passive with him because he is a gentle man. LOL, I am normally assertive. Of course I told him this as I was freaking out on the phone with him about something to do with my surgery, and I was anything but passive at the time. What is important, though, is that he listened, calmed me down, and resolved the problem for me.
Also when I told him that I wanted my mons smaller he said Sure! I'll revise you. I was quite shy to talk to him about that area of my body. So I was very passive, but I got through it.
So if after three months you still don't like the result then you should talk to him. I think that is what he said in your video that it would take three months. Read the last few sections of the interview I did with him on affording plastic surgery. You will see he wants his patients to be happy. Or talk to Scott if you're more comfortable with that. But do give him the opportunity to give you maximum happiness. That is what he is looking to do. He says it in the interview.
Remember, too, that society conditions us to be good girls and not complain. Don't let convention hold you back.
BTW I saw your vids but I did not notice anything with your cleaveages being off. But you of course are more aware of it.

Good so I'm not the only one! On my one month I will be a little more honest. I just feel bad because I know he cares and does his best. As I said I think his specialty is arms and thighs (maybe lbl as well) He does a lot of those types of surgery 5000+ but I'm pretty sure hes done under 100 boobs. His pictures are still very nice... Maybe my case was harder if you look on realself at my before its a big difference and wasn't an easy case.
In 3 months I willn do exactly what you say.... I shouldn't feel bad - I did pay him to do something- I just don't want to offend him.
I have another video I'm hoping will be posted today that I think will show my new boobs more so maybe you can see what I mean.
Thanks for the peep talk! :)
I look forward to your new vid. I really find them very helpful! Thank you, again.
There are ways to tell someone that you would like to improve something without offending them or their work. You can begin by saying something appreciative of what he has done, and then say "but, I was expecting yada yada yada. What can we do to address that?"
His specialty is really any body contouring after MWL. He is a noted key opinion leader in the plastic surgery profession among his peers. I actually think he does great boobs but I have never asked him how many he has done. I know that he has a ton more pix than what he has loaded on his site. Is that 100 pairs or 100 boobs, LOL!
I am sure your results will improve over time. Take good care! It's been nice getting to know you!!
