Consultation and Questions/Opinions/Input welcome

I had a consult and got the following recommendations. It seems pricey and I have no idea what a platysma is. I also wonder why there is no lipo recommended for inner thighs or a lift for that area. Does a LBL not cover the tummy tuck, as well? Also what the heck is fat graft? I will probably also do a consult with a surgeon that specializes in post weight loss. I'm also really wondering about Mexico. I said Id never ever ever do it but looking at this, I am thinking WOW, that's a LOT of money!

Stage one:
Tummy tuck $9800.00 Lipo hips, flanks is 4800.00 but when done at the same time 3000.00 Possible lower body lift 8800.00 " " 5000.00 Possible fat graft buttock 3800.00 2000.00 Possible brachioplasty with lipo arms 8800.00 7000.00
Total is 26,800 (price is all inclusive)
  Second Stage:
Face/Neck with platysma is $12,800 possible upper eyes 4200.00 3000 Possible fat graft of cheeks 3800.00 2000   total 17,800

That does sound high.  I am in the Los Angeles area and paid less than that for both my facelift and my tummy tuck.

I'm 5'2" and 55 years old.  VSG 3/17/10

I've read a lot of scary reviews on realself.com about fat transfer/grafting to the face. I just. Tummy tuck price is too high. I don't much about the other prices.

Definately use a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in massive weight loss patients. Here is an interview article that I did with my plastic surgeon that will guide you in selecting the right surgeon and affording plastic surgery.

My tummy tuck, mons lift, and lipo were $7100. My results are fabulous. You can see my before and afters in the article.

Do not go to Mexico or outside the country!!! That is discussed in the article, too.

I am going back to Dr. Capella next month to convert the TT to an LBL, get medial thigh lift, arm lift, flankplasty, and breast lift, and lipo. It is a 6-hr surgery and $18k He is lifting my entire body.

Then I will go for stage 3 face/neck lift and breast implants, ~$11k.

These fees are all inclusive of surgeon's fees, anesthesia, OR, ambulance transport, aftercare facility. He also does free revisions (no charge for surgeon's fees).

Good luck on your journey!

Thanks! Your results look great. Also, so do his prices! I am going to read through your article. Do you live in NJ? I'm in texas and debating travel. I wonder how hard it is and what the cost is.

I used to live in NJ. I moved the next day after my one week post op with Dr. Capella. I drove myself straight through to Indianapolis. That's 700 miles. It took me 12-hours because I had to stop a lot  along the way.

so, I have all of the travel worked out for my next surgery. I would be happy to advise you on this if and when the time comes. Even with those costs, he is still more affordable than me having the surgery here. Most importantly, he is a far better surgeon than what I can get here. Add to that, his patient care is top notch. I would not go to anyone else.

thank you for your kind words about my results. I never dreamed I could look like this at 49yo. Now I need to get my face looking as young as my body.

I believe thwt Baylor has a residency plastic surgery program. But realize that these are surgeons in training... Still a better bet than going outside the country, though, if you need to save money.

I spoke with him today. I sent pictures and am in the process of confirming that a body lift includes the full tummy tuck. If it does, and his results are good, he's a find for sure! I would love to do the facelift/necklift too but he said that's a lot for one surgery.

Yes, the body lift includes the full tummy tuck. I lost like 8.5 inches off my waist, 6" off my lower abdo, and 4" off my hips just from the TT. I would say that a great result. Check ut the pix on his website. He has a ton posted.

So I am getting the full body lift and that is a 6-hr surgery. Then I am getting the face and neck lift and breast aug. that is a 5-hr surgery I believe. He likes to do the face alone as he does all the sewing.

They quoted me 4 hours for full body lift with lipo and arms. I am scared, I won't lie. My doctor that I normally use is a known entity. However, I cannot pay 27K, I just don't have it and then would still have my face left to do. Something new is always a little scary
