Jumped in and scheduled surgery for December 17 and now all the questions

I scheduled my surgery so I could lock in the price before the surgery center upped them.

I'll be having a BA/TT silicone probably over the muscle because of my weirdly barrel-shaped ribcage and probably no muscle tightening with TT because no kiddos and no lipo (surgeon said it was unnecessary).

I've been to 3 consults, asked lots of questions, yet only since the prospect has become real have I started thinking of new questions.

Like i've been seeing some scars that are so dadgum high.  My surgeon assured me that it would be below the bikini line but I would imagine everyone asked for that.  I do not want to see a scar in underwear/bathing suit--that's a great part of the reason I'm doing this!!

Now that I'm spending all my time on youtube I just encountered something very scary--stretch marks that arise after and in response to the TT?!?!?!?!  Is that for real?  At least my stretchmarks now are so old that they've faded.  Yes I have loose skin and flat skin is the goal but preferably not replacing old stretchmarks with new.  I didn't even know this was a thing.

Should I try to have the stomach muscles tightened even though I haven't had kids?  Is that bad if I eventually do?

Do I need to do anything special in advance of surgery?

Am I making a horrible mistake scheduling this 1 week before Christmas?  My thought was that I could spend the week prior to Christmas drinking tea and watching Christmas movies but I would still like to enjoy the holiday.  Hopefully if I don't have my stomach muscles tightened I will be turning a corner by a week out.

How long were your drains left in?

What other questions did you ask your PS?  I'm going to schedule a second consult here soon because I have so much more to ask.

Thanks

I'm a week out from my TT and I had both a little lipo and muscle tightening.  I'm a little sore and I still have my drains in, but I definitely feel well enough to have an enjoyable Christmas at home.

I still have my drains in and expect to have them in until at least the end of this coming week, maybe longer.

My surgeon asked me to wear a pair of bikini undies the morning of my surgery, and he marked the place for the incision while I was wearing them.  (And the funniest thing ever:  This is how I got them back!!)

Nope, nothing at all.  This was my third consult and I feel like I wasn't as prepared to ask her questions, and I also wasn't entirely sure I was going through with it.

One of the other surgeons wanted me to get my blood drawn so I imagine this one might as well.

As far as everything else, it's just based off what I've read--that I'll need a compression garment, she's prescribe antibacterial soap...and beyond that I'm still pretty clueless.

I had a Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift in January 2013.  Stretch marks are a very real possibility! When SWELL HELL hit me around week 2 to 3 i looked 5 months pregnant and i could feel my skin stretching. I started using Tummy Butter and it definitely helped the stretch marks not be so prominent.  I ended up wearing my compression garment almost nonstop for about 6 months. I actually still wear it in the evenings when i can feel that i am starting to swell. My surgeon says that it can take up to a year for all of the swelling to stop. Good luck to you, it is by far the best money you will ever spend! I don't regret spending one penny!
