BL/BA, Arm Lift and Outer thigh Lipo 5 days ago......

I think I'm healing fairly well, but have a few questions.  I have ace bandages on my arms and my hands go a bit numb.  My bandages don't really feel tight, so is this normal? I also am getting "zingers", kind of feels like someone putting a cigarette out along certain places on my arms.  Anyone else have this as well?  I figure it's just healing.

I'm also getting really numb on my outer thighs where I had lipo.  I have my checkup on Thursday and I think they are removing stitches.  I think I'm more afraid of that than the surgery!  Seems like many people "open" up two weeks out!

My breasts seem great.  They are very "high and tight" but I'm sure they will settle down and it's better than being friends with my stomach.  I didn't want bigger, I was a 32D-DD and I wanted them to be the same, just not all skin!

I had bl/ba/arm lift and vertical thigh lift two and a half weeks ago.  I had the same issues with my arms and hands, and would loosen the aces from time to time.  When I went to the dr for...hmm, it was ten days when the doctor took them off, and said that I had had them on too tight.  I still have plenty of numbness along my stitch lines all over, but I think it's normal.  I have zingers here and there, I'm surprised your boobs haven't had any yet.  Are you sure your stitches aren't dissolvable?  You may be afraid for nothing girl:)  Yeah my boobies are very high and tight, your doctor will probably be pushing them around hard, and call it a "massage" good times - good luck to you:)

Lol, the boob and lipo zingers started this evening! Kinda funny, I feel nothing and then I shout out a swear word, and then it's gone. I can't imagine doing a thigh lift right now! I'm saving that for next year with the tt. Figured I would start at the top and work my way down.
Looks like we both had the band and then got the sleeve. So much happier. The band practically destroyed my stomach for 5 years and then I got the sleeve in 2009. Yup, looking forward to the "massage".

Yep zingers - I guess we can blame our outbursts on temporary torret's:)  Yes I am so much happier with the sleeve, the band never worked right for me.  I'm pushing to have the LBL in a couple of months to get the PS over with asap.

The thighs were tough at first, I mean there was a spot that wasn't even along the incision line above one of my knees that hurt so bad as soon as I tried to put any weight on it that I just couldn't for the first few days.  My doctor sent me home with a catheter, and two weeks worth of injectable (yes I did it myself) blood thinners, so I really didn't have to walk much to do anything.

The zingers are perfectly normal. Why are they removing stitches???????? When I had my brachioplasty they removed my stitches at 10 days out. My scar instantly widened to about a half an inch. I chose a different surgeon for my lbl/bl. He left the stitches in. My scars there are so pretty and thin. I wish I had researched this further.

From what I've read most people get their stitches removed about a week out. I just don't want to open back up! That's way too scary! Kinda feel like they are added security

I disagree. Most great surgeons use the disolvable stitches with glue and leave them in. The results are much better.

Hmmm..not sure but I can't use the glue and I tend to scar very well. Ive had stomach surgery 4 times and you cant see one incision.
The results I've seen from his patients have been amazing. They have called him a scar genius. Guess what always works for one doesn't always work for another. Glad you're happy with your second round of scarring.
