Not sure what to think about LBL results...

I had my LBL about two months ago. I go back and forth with being happy with my results and being disappointed. My main reasoning behind it was to remove my large pannus, and we accomplished that, so in that sense I'm thrilled. However, I was expecting my stomach to look a little better than it does. It looks bumpy and loose to me. I knew it wouldn't be perfect, but I feel I paid for something a little better than this.

I uploaded some pics to my albums, take a look. Am I crazy? Would you be happy with these results? Should I talk to my surgeon about a possible revision? Or am I still healing? Aka do I need to be patient and let things readjust on their own?   I NEVER expected the perfect tummy after years of being overweight. I don't know though, I was expecting a little better for what I paid...

**Im not referring to the stretch marks, I'm referring to the bulgy and loose look above the incision line

At 2 months, you're still healing.  It's hard to tell what your final results are going to be that early out.  By the way, I can't get to your profile page to see the pics.

Are you able to see them now? I think I fixed it, but sometimes I struggle with the setting on this site. This is my first picture uploading experience haha

No, you're not imagining it.  You do look lumpy.  It almost looks like he did the panniculectomy, but not the full abdominoplasty.  Was your belly button moved?

I can tell you from the healing of my ab muscles that I definitely got the full abdominoplasty, but I know what you mean! I feel the same way.

I do have a new belly button, or I assume I do based on the way the entire thing had to heal. Its much smaller than it used to be.

I guess I'm just trying to figure out is the lumpiness fat because I didn't get lipo? Or is it places where he could have pulled tighter? and am I being too much of a perfectionist, or is this all I could get for $15,000?

I'm in a tight spot because I haven't even finished paying it off, so thinking about paying for (and recovering from!!) another procedure is daunting.

Lipo shouldn't be necessary.  It removes underlying fat, but leaves the skin behind.  From the pics, it looks like he didn't pull and remove as much as he could have.  And it should be obvious (it was for me) if your belly button was moved.  There's an incision line that runs around it where it was sewed into the new location.  I'd go have a talk with him about a revision and see what he says.  I wouldn't be looking forward to another procedure either, but if it's just skin removal, it shouldn't be too bad of a recovery, and you want to be happy with your body.

I can see what you mean but I do think you still look great! Maybe discuss how you are feeling with your doctor? I do think  you many need to let your body heal a bit more before considering another surgery. You may just have some swelling that isn't yet resolved. And again, I think you look great. I totally sympathize with the stretch marks...I've got some doozies too.

Actually what worries me is that it doesn't look AS bad when I'm swollen, its when I'm not swollen that it looks loose like this. But thank you! I do appreciate your kind words :)

Did you have stitches in your belly button? By looking at your pics it doesn't look like it.
