Mons lift????

I had the same experience.  Mine was the size of a soft ball and I look like I "packing a pair."  You would have thought that after losing 226 pounds, it would be smaller too, but NO!  I had a reduction done last year.  It is 100% better, but be forewarned:  mine was tight and petite after the surgery, but the flesh has loosened over time so it not as "nice" as it was.

That is exactly what happened to me. My surgeon is going to revise me by redoing the lift and then doing monsplasty with my medial thigh lift... He is terrific!!!

i am relieved to hear other women say their mons was so large. I was so ashamed of mine and felt like I was the only one in the world with this hideous thing.

I just had my pre-op appointment for my tummy tuck, I made sure that I asked my plastic surgeon if the mons lift was included.  He said yes, thank goodness.  It would have looked so ugly to have a nice flat tummy and then poochy, puffy hoo ha.

I hate this part of my body. I intend to get a tummy tuck in Nov/Dec and want to make sure this is included. I look like the area below my stomach fell forward in shock and landed over my vagina and stayed there. It makes my pants sizes larger. I am on the path to build as much lean muscle mass as I can before getting the surgery.

It's good to hear that I'm not the only one with this. I thought of duct taping it the other day, just to see what it would look like. mail

Just a friendly word of caution from someone who's been there. I learned the hard way that this is not the vagina. It is the mons or the vulva. When describing my desire for a revision to this area  to my surgeon and PA (both males), because I used the wrong terminology, they thought I wanted labiaplasty or vaginoplasty. I was totally embarrassed when my surgeon shook his head and said I don't do that, so I dropped the subject... worse, it took 2-weeks before we all finally got on the same page that I wanted/needed a revision to my mons lift, which he DOES do. cheeky

Just wanted to say thank you for everyone who is posting to this subject. I am just starting to look into plastic surgery and although I have nothing to share I am learning so much. (and also thankful that I am not the only one whose lady parts looks horrendouse :)

Honestly, my mons area bothers me way more than my Shar Pei tummy.  I had planned to just live with the saggy tummy but when I found out it would include the mons lift, that was what pushed me over the edge to go ahead with the TT!  My surgeon says he will lift the area as part of the TT, and will also do a little lipo to get rid of some of the excess fat.  Five days to go... super excited!
