I've been waiting to write my sharepost to tell the unbelievable results of my tummy tuck... drum roll please... 18 inches and 18 lbs lost!!! You may read more here and see my photo if interested: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/5rVfW7/www.healthcentral.com/o besity/c/276918/162069/bariatric-wow-inches-months?ap=831/

I don't think I've ever been happier in my life.

As soon as I get my before and after photos back from my plastic surgeon I will post those in my album. The before photo is shocking. It amazes me what can be accomplished by a brilliant plastic surgeon. Thanks, Dr. Capella!

There is a revision that he will make to my mons lift. He said that he can make me tighter, LOL - not what you might think - he is going to make my external sex organ (mons and outer labia) tighter.

BTW, if you are interested in tightening the internal sex organ, that is possible. Look for a board-certified plastic surgeon who does labiaplasty, vaginaplasty, or vaginal rejuvenation. As for me, my juicy bits are A-OK because my one child was a cesarean birth. The vaginal births can stretch the vagina and labia minora.

I can't wait to see the pics, we have been hearing about this it feels like forever, the fun is in the pics.  I took my own, my surgeon did not share his pics with me, I never even saw them.

You sound like a paid spokesperson for plastic surgery now, a couple months ago you were all upset about a little sloshing sound when you turned on your side.  Funny how time changes everything.

Edited- I finally got my tablet to show me your pic.  Your stomach looks great. Congrats.

Thanks so much for your very kind words!!!

It is so funny, isn't it?!?! I was a baby after my TT. And I posted a lot because I have a lot of time on my hands - I was down-sized from the corporation that I worked for. So, yes, it seems like forever that I have been posting about this... because I have! ha!

There are a few pix in my photo album here on OH. I think that I am getting the before and after shots from my surgeon's office next week. It is great to see the before shot to realize what was truly achieved. When I looked at it in his office I had not remembered how bad I looked. OMG, plastic surgery is like magic! And I am so glad that I took my measurements because without them I never would have realized how huge the change was.

Just wait, there is more change to come. As you can see in the pix, my thighs need work - and the skirt is hiding the most awful part. To fix them in the way that I want, I need a thigh lift and to complete the LBL (from the TT). You also can see that my arms need work. Not as obvious, my boobs need a lift as does my face/neck. And I want implants. I will try not to be such a baby next time around, LOL!

I know that I will be scared once I have a surgery date and that date approaches... but I am really excited to complete the transformation.

Thanks also for the times that you encouraged me to lighten up, relax, and enjoy my body. I am loving it, finally.

you look great!

it's funny how we keep wanting more. i want the thigh lift now too, and boob lift (maybe reduction depending how big they would still be after the lift, i'd like to go down to a D, finding 36DDD anything is damn near impossible, and i took my measurements the other day and it looks like my band may be down to a 34!). my arms didn't bother me before, but they sure do now! i find myself just pinching away at skin everywhere! i feel some laxity in my face/neck but not enough to do anything about it, i'm too scared at 27 to start messing with my face anyway. if i start now i'll end up looking like joan rivers eventually lol.

Thank you! Thank you!

I am a 38 DD at Victoria Secret and I know their extreme lift bras that I buy are doing a lot to make me look like a full DD. I want to be a full DD with my bra off! Any larger than that and like you said, it is hard to find bras.

I think that is a good call on the face for you. I am 49 and I have jowling and marionette lines that I hate.

I say if you can swing the finances then fix everything. You have so many years ahead of you to enjoy every penny that you invest in yourself!!!

Just remember this stuff can really hurt and it can really get messed up.  So go forth carefully.  I am not trying to discourage you, only make you think carefully about the feeling of the delicate skin between your legs healing with a big painful scar.  Personally I think you looked great in your bathing suit pic just as you are.  The flat stomach to me means everything, I didn't even care about checking everything off my wish list.  But all that said, I can't wait to see your next chapter.  Now that you are an old pro, hopefully you won't be so nervous about every little thing.

Good Luck!

Oh and btw, I showed your bathing suit pic to my 33 year old boyfriend and he thought you looked great too.  He saw no need for further slicing and dicing.  Just thought you would like to know.

Thank you. I really appreciate your comments. I am considering this seriously to make sure that I want the surgery for the right reasons and have realistic expectations. My surgeon understands this -- and he is the type who will turn away patients if he feels they will not benefit from surgery. And he would do my revision only if that is what I ultimately decided.

And lady, good for you with the 33yo BF!!!!!!!!!!! broken heart

As for cutting may mons and labia, I am going to ask him exactly what that involves and if there will be a loss of sensation, pain etc. My understanding at this point is that he will use the incision that is to be made for my thigh lift, which goes along the sides of the mons, and re-open the TT incision that is above my mons.

I can't tell you how very self conscious I am about this part of my body. As a woman, you easily can imagine how I have felt all these years to be disfigured here. In fact, I had a hard time discussing this revision with my surgeon during my 3-mos post op, to tell him that my mons and labia are too large -- especially when he misunderstood me and thought that I wanted labiaplasty. He said, "I don't do that." I was too uncomfortable to pursue the discussion any further. It was not until later when he saw me nude for my photos that he saw my vulva and understood what I wanted. He can make me tighter horizontally and vertically. I know that I need this. I have a camel toe when I wear jeans. I just don't want to be self conscious about this most intimate area of my body anymore.

As for being nervous, I am going to tell my surgeon that he needs to tell me everything to expect unless he wants me calling him in the middle of the night again. hahaha!

I had a long conversation with my surgeon's PA this morning by phone (my surgeon is on vacation). So, it took a while for us to get our terminology straight... but I understand now why both Dr. Capella and Scott thought that I wanted labiaplasty. It seems that the area that I thought are my outer labia (labia majora) is actually my mons. Hilarious - the convo this morning reminded me of the Abbott and Costello baseball skit "who's on first?" Scott kept trying to understand what I wanted done and I kept trying to tell him, but we were using different terms and neither understanding the other. Finally, I asked what is the area to the right and left of the cleft called? I thought it was the labia. It turns out it is the mons. So...

The mons will be tightened horizontally via the incision that is made along the crease between the leg and the mons for the thighlift. There is very little pain and no loss of sensation. The only thing to be careful of is pulling the mons too much and causing vaginal spreading. They will not do that, of course.

Scott did not know if Dr. Capella plans to re-open the TT incision above my mons to tighten me vertically, but that is my understanding as of now.

I think it is hilarious how little many women (me) know about their vag. When I was home I asked my girlfriends if they thought the outer sex organ was their vagina and they did, just as I did. We are all 49 and only now are aware that the vagina is the hole that leads to the internal sex organ. The outer sex organ is the vulva. At least that is what I understand but I could be wrong. And I still do not know where my outer labia are. hee haw!

Just for the record... I don;t know all the parts of the engine, but I know how to drive my car really hard and fast... if you get my drift. hahahaha!
