I went three years post op... But did not have my surgery until 10 yrs post op. I was a late bloomer, always have been. LOL. I had the money, but I had a change of heart and so I waited. I am glad that I followed through as I have never imagined plastics could make my body look so great. I only had a tummy tuck but I will be going to complete the rest of my body.

I get so happy nowadays... I was in Loft a few days ago trying on this body hugging dress. The young, pretty, and slender sales girl in the dressing roo.m said, wow, that looks great on you! I will never get tired of hearing this! I have gotten a number of compliments since my surgery about looking great. It blows my mind. I just never expected my results to be so dramatic.

good luck with your surgery!

I didn't start shopping for surgeons until I was 3 years out.

Hi there,

I was 210, down from 398... I thought the surgeon would say you need to lose more but I was good to go, I had pretty much levelled off at 210 for the previous 3 months. My consult was Feb, my surgery was in June of this year.

I highly recommend Dr Timothy Katzen, he was my surgeon, a total sweetie.

He removed 35 lbs from a LBL and breast lift...

Best of luck to you... and well done you on the massive weight loss..

Good to read a review on Katzen, as I have wondered about him. He seems like one of the better bariatric plastic surgeons but patient testimonials beat marketing hype hands down.

Some plastic surgeons will not operate on patients who weight 200 lbs or more... don't get me wrong, it is wonderful that these surgeons will admit that they cannot handle this type of patient... I surely respect that. I respect even more those surgeons who have dedicated themselves to honing their surgical skills on body contouring of WLS patients.

There are a few patients on this board who adore their plastic surgeons. To all those reading this post, whichever surgeon you choose, you will want to feel this way about him/her. As for me, my surgeon is Dr. Capella and he does the best body work that I have ever seen, period.

Ramsey NJ but he works with out of state, and even out of country patients. I am in the Midwest. I know someone from the South that just had surgery with him.

Check out the extensive collection of before and after photos on his website. He doesn't just show patients with near-perfect bodies. What first caught my attention is his skill in taking very malformed bodies and making them normal, even good looking. As soon as I have my before and after pix from him I will post them in my album. My results make my toes curl, LOL!

Also, he has very good prices. So even if you incur some travel expenses your total investment will be thousands of dollars less with him. I know this for a fact.

Hey, Dr K is in beverly hills a lower body lift will set you back around 19k. Please factor in pre op tests which could run to 1k... and travel expenses. He likes patients to stay in the area for 10 days minimum. I have some places that you can stay for relatively cheap (not in Bev Hills), if you need recommendations, check out his website www.360bodylift.com Good luck in your search
