Swelling after LBL

I am 14 days post-op, and just had my drains pulled yesterday.   I felt my belly getting really tight and painful over night.   This morning?  Ugh?  I feel miserable.   I think I'm officially in swell hell.   Surgeon really admonished me  yesterday about not overdoing it, just because the drains are out, and I'm trying my best to heed his advice.   I have a friend who is a massage therapist, and I'm going to contact her about receiving lymphatic massage once my glue/stitches dissolve.   In the meantime, I guess it's low salt/low carb, feet up for me.    

I have a question about the Arnica Montana... oral or topical?

The Arnica Montata that I was taking was oral - picked up from MakeMeHeal.  Taking it easy does help.  Overdoing seemed to really bring my swelling to it's peak.

I am finding that I need to rest with my feet up in the afternoon still.   I go back to teaching full-time at six weeks, and I'm on my feet all day.  I'm not looking forward to the swelling.   I think I need to invest in more knits in my wardrobe....
