oh no! i guess it had to come sooner or later. are you taking arnica montana? i ran out and it seems that my swelling has gotten worse. So I think it works and will be reordering.

I'm 9 months out and out of the blue I'll have a day every now and then when I'm swollen.........not bad, and not "visibly"....but I can feel the general puffiness and tightness.

My PS said that could happen for a year.

Went to my PS last night. He couldn't draw any fluid out and said it's just swelling and there is nothing to be done about it. I'm so glad I didn't need another tube or another surgery!

He attempted to explain to me something about the swelling landing in the lymph nodes just above the mons area and that's why we swell.... whatever. I can deal with looking and feeling pregnant. I cannot deal with more tubes and surgeries!

yay!

i guess that's why my swelling seems to mostly be in my mons area now!

I am 3-mos post op and have some swelling but also some laxity in my mons that was not present right after surgery. My surgeon said that sometimes he is not able to get it all at once but that I also lost weight and this may have impacted it, too. He is going to revise me to tighten me back up.

i think mine is just swelling. it doesn't seem lax at all, just puffy.

I saw my PS today. Not worried about the swelling but did acknowledge that I'm rather swollen. Might be some fluid but doesn't think so. Reminded me I'm only 15 days out and to slow down...he knows I'm not doing a good job resting and taking it easy. It's a little better but not great.

Hang in there and give yourself lots of time. Everyone is different. I have an amazing surgeon and I trust him with my life. I'm swollen like I'm pregnant and well, I'll just have to deal with it until it comes down. It's just how my body is handling this. I'm a slow healer anyway, so I have to take my time (I have Lupus). Just keep remembering it will get better.
