has anyone does the arms and belly combo? abdominalplasty and brachioplasty at once?
You should be able to find plenty of experiences. I would suggest you google "Tummy Tuck arms" on youtube. Those videos helped me a lot. I'm almost 3 weeks out from Lower body lift, arm lift, and breast lift. My breast and arms have been easy peasy and basically a non issue. The lbl is more complicated, a sneeze or cough brings me to my knees but healing is going pretty well.
I had a TT and arm lift done on March 26, 2013. I didn't have any issues having them done together. For me the arms were very easy.....not too much pain involved at all. The TT was a little more painful because he pulled my muscles so tightly. I still have some discomfort when coughing or sneezing or when I have to use my tummy muscles to get up. I think you would do fine having them done at the same time. The first 3 days are the worst after that it gets easier and easier. Just keep ahead of your pain meds. and make sure you eats lots of protein before and after surgery. I also took Arnica and Bromelein for healing and swelling.
Good luck.

Kathy, I'm so glad to read your post because I'm also considering having an abdominalplasty and brachioplasty done at the same time in December 2013. Although I am prepared for the pain and recovery period, I'm quite a bit more concerned about the length of the surgeries. My PS said it will take between 7-8 hours for both. Do you mind telling me how long your procedures took and did everything go smoothly during surgery. Knowing what you know now, would you choose to do the two procedures at the same time or separately?
I am also a teacher and can only take three weeks off. Do you think that will be enough time? Hopefully, I'll be able to plan lessons that allow me to sit down every so often during each 1-1/2 hour class period and walk around occasionally, and hopefully my students will cooperate with me (they are much more sympathetic when they know I'm sick or have had some kind of surgery). Do you have any suggestions for how I can make returning to work easier?
Thanks for any and all suggestions.
Susan
I had LBL, BL, arms and sm groin thigh lift. The arms hurt for a few weeks with the compression garment (on for 6 weeks). It was the forearms that hurt, not the upper arms that were done. I used a heating pad and heat massager on them. Had little to no pain with all my PS.
