There is no way I would let anybody touch my face unless he or she had a ton of experience with facelifts.  If it goes wrong there is no way to hide it!!  There are lots of nerves in the face and it's very delicate surgery -- go with somebody who is an expert!

ETA: I've had mine done and I am all for doing it.  But get somebody *****ally, really knows what he or she is doing!

Thank you. I had planned to go to a plastic surgeon that specializes in faces. My surgeon has someone that he does refer to in NYC. I had had a particular surgeon in mind and upon looking at his social media activities I realized he was a jerk. So I will check out the guy my surgeon recommends.

Do you have any recommendations for a plastic surgeon who is top notch with faces?

I used Dr. Martin O'Toole in Pasadena, CA.  Probably not much help to you!  LOL

You know, I think you will recover well from whatever you have done. I wouldn't schedule any flying for the 4 weeks after your surgery and I'd look around at different face plastics and find the best surgeon for that, even if you have to pay more.

I am trying to get in for a second consult with Dr. Capella before I go back to Indy. I want to be sure that I am clear on what results I will get on my backside (which does include improving my thighs). As well as be sure that he and I are on the same page for the items to be addressed in my next surgery. He told me the name of the face guy he refers to in NYC but I forget - so I will ask him for that info again. I did get a recommendation for a female plastic surgeon in Indy. If I recall correctly, all she does is faces. I have not yet checked her out.

i hope you are doing well!!!

I have a lot of scar tissue under the incision that is in my mons. The rest of my incision is fine. Also in the mons, there are patches of dark skin on the sides of the incision. Does anyone have this or know what it is and how it can be addressed?

I am six days out from a TT with full muscle repair and ventral hernia repair. I could use a ton of work...thighs, boobs, arms, butt. I just don't think I can go through this much pain and recovery again!

The abdominoplasty is the most painful followed by thigh lift and arm lift, then the breast lift and implants are not painful - at least that is what I have been told. I have heard differing opinions on the pain of the facelift, but it does not seem painful.

My tt and arms were a cake walk compared to just a neck lift, my actual face wasn't touched.  The stitches behind my ears hurt, all he time until hey came out.  It was torture.  Last year I consulted with a doctor on my face, I was considering a lift and to add fat to the areas needed, but it was too expensive and extreme so I chickened out.  He was great though, and German, I had a German doctor do my tt, so I am fan of the perfectionist aspect of both their work.
