1 month post tummy tuck follow up appointment today
Great news for you!
I've read the swelling can go on for some time especially by the evenings do some gradually stop with the binder and wear it for a few hours a day.
Even myself that my TT was the beginning of August 2011, by the end of the day I can feel a swellingness right above the bikini line and after my bm of the morning I flat again.
Results can take up to a year.
For many of us, unless bad scarring/pain, even with complications, most any result even if not perfect, is a vast change and improvement over what we had and were.
I can also tell you that for many of us, battles with health insurance for medical coverage was/is a common factor of annoyance. And once you have one area done (many it is lower tummy first) you then want others areas done for as one area looks great compared to what it looked like before, others areas of the body become more noticeable to us then before.
All of what I write I have read at different times in this Board since I started lurking and posting here in 2007 - or I have experienced myself.
Best of luck on this your new journey to better health and appearance!

I might have went with the vertical cut if it would have pulled my back skin tighter but I asked my PS about it and he said it wouldn't help my back at all.
He basically explained that my options were a vertical scar or still have a little loose skin on my tummy. I thought I would rather have the skin but it's more than I expected. At my appointment yesterday he said if I want to revise and add the vertical cut he would only charge me the difference in price which will be $1,000. He suggested I wait 6 months before having that done if I decide to do it. My skin not being as tight as I hoped is the only thing I don't like. The scar looks as good as any scar could look...nice fine line, flat and smooth. Mons looks great and ab muscles tight.
