How long with the Binder

I want to burn this thing I hate it so much. How long do you or did you have to wear it? If I have to go back to work with this thing I might go insane.

My surgeon says 4 weeks. I'm at week 3. Honestly, I've grown to like it! I feel kind of weird when I take it off.

I wore mine for six weeks.  24/7 for the first four weeks and just doing the day for the last two weeks.  I got the Marena thigh length and it was pretty comfortable until the end of the day when my legs felt like sausages. 

No binder for me. Just a compression garment. He didn't say how long, but right now I've been wearing it 24/7 unless I'm out and I can't wear it with what I'm wearing because I'm more comfortable in it.

I am on week three - and still wear it.  It is kind of my security blanket.  I don't like to not wear it...weird, probably.  I sometimes wear a spanx cami underneath, too.

 

My Doctor took mine off on day 2 and told me there was no need to wear any compression at all. I'm waiting for my scars (pie crust) to lay down and then Im going to wear some sort of compression to narrow my waist. 

I have the same surgeon as SouthernSleever but I have been wearing my binder since week 4 because my upper abdo hurts. I am 3-mos post op. I will be seeing my surgeon for my follow-up next week.

I loved my binders so much, Ive destroyed two of them!  Literally, they have just fallen apart from so much use.  Ive worn one since day one, and Im about 2.5 months out and still wear it to sleep.  Love love love it.  I felt like I was pulling apart (well, I guess technically I was) without it.

I am almost 5 weeks out and I'm still wearing mine. I have two of them since I had an anchor cut. I never take the one around my abdomen off, but will sleep without the bottom one from time to time. They make me feel secure and since I still have body aches and pressure, they definitely help. I can't imagine getting rid of them, I love them lol
