Plastics with small children at home?
I'm sure this has been asked before, but the search didn't come up with much, so my apologies if I'm beating a dead horse.
Anyway, I have two small children (currently 4 and 1.5) and I'd really like to have plastics done (first priority is a thigh lift). Financially it is probably not in the cards for me, but I'm doing my homework anyway. Has anyone had plastics with little ones at home? Is it possible to recover at home? How long would I need someone to help with the kids?

Hi Paula, I remember you from the preggo board! I just had my arm lift, breast lift and augmentation a month ago. My kids are almost 4 and the twins are almost 1.5. I did ok. My Hubby worked from home for 2 weeks to do the heavy lifting and most of the childcare. I really could have used another week, but that was all we could swing. I just try to keep the lifting to an absolute minimum. Honestly, I probably would be healing better if I didn't have to lift the kids from time to time. I can't imagine with a thigh lift. My arm lift has been pretty tricky to heal and I'm generally a great healer. I still have some scabbing in some spots and there are a couple areas that look like they are trying to re-open, luckily so far they look good and my surgeon is pleased. I'm planning a panni next month and that should be another interesting one.... It's rough with little ones, but do your best to keep the lifting to a minimum and follow your surgeon's orders.

Thanks for the input. I'm currently torn between having more kids or having plastics instead, lol. I had two miscarriages over the winter and I'm thinking this might be a sign to be done. If I get my period this month, I'm putting in some calls to start consultations and see if there is a possibility of having some skin removed on my insurance company's dime.
