What is everyone using on their scars? I'm looking at different silicone strips now but have no clue which to get. My surgeon recommended the oleeva one but if something else works better I'd rather use that (especially if its cheaper! Lol)

I have a Gelzone wrap and I really like it. It wraps around your incision and provides comfortable compression. The silicon gel sheet helps the scar heal/lighten and also provides lymphatic drainage. I lost 2" in two days off my lower abdo. Prior to the wrap, I was not losing there. I think it is under $100.

That was one of the ones i was looking at amazon, it's on the lower price side so I wasn't sure about it. Thanks!

Yes, I looked it up for someone yesterday and it was about $68. It has to wrap around you 1.5x so but sure to get the right size. I find it comfortable to wear.

My surgeon does not believe anything really works and he told me to use cocoa butter lotion. My scars are pretty good at 2 years out. I am amazed that when I run my fingers across them you cannot even feel where they are.

I'm surprised at how a lot of mine looks now. Way better than my rny scars. My larger scar from it healed horribly which is why I want to do anything I can to make these ones better (and maybe try something on this older one too since I can see myself wanting to wear a bikini next year now).

Good for you on the bikini. My top half looks great, but my legs are a wobbly mess. I don't wear a bikini because my body looks odd because of that.

My RNY scars completely disappeared. I think I must be a good healer.

I'm not thrilled with my legs either, I'll probably wear a skirt bottom, that's what I've done the past few years anyway. I figure there's people that look a lot worse than me walking around in bikinis anyway lol.

my PS includes a bottle of Bio Cream in the price of the procedures. I started using it the day after my stitches were removed. I am to use it everyday until it is gone and if I want to use it longer I can purchase more at his office. too soon to tell if it will really fade my scar but my scar doesn't look too bad anyway. it is a very fine line and my belly button looks great. if I remember correctly it cost $90 per bottle.
