Upper and lower abdominal pain at 3-mos post op - normal or cause for concern?

Our experiences sound very similar. Thanks for posting. I think your your assumption about the nerve endings makes a lot of sense. As for being more active, I cannot say that is true of myself. I did text my surgeon but I assume they are closed for the holiday. Will let you know when I hear back.

Thanks again.

I got a call from the patient coordinator - the surgeon is in the OR - and was advised to go to the ER owing to the light-headedness. I have to say that I am not inclined to do this, as going to the OR is such a pain in the arse. Plus I am really tired of all the back and forth with various doctors and tests since having the surgery.

I asked the patient coordinator if it is normal to have new pains at this point and she said that new pains after two months are unlikely.

I had a rough couple of days/nights as far as swelling and pain. It is so odd to me that I was not having problems with swelling and then all of the sudden I felt like I was in swell hell again. My waist got like 2-3" bigger and my pants were tight around my abdo when they had been loose previously. Anyway, this morning I am feeling like myself and my swelling has resolved. I think that I will wait until I see my PCP next week for her to check me out. She is terrific.

Hopefully you continue feeling like yourself. I'm the same way and would probably wait it out too.

I posted the question on real self to see what some other surgeons might say.
