Bleeding at drain site?

Hi all,

I had my LBL on Tuesday. I'm feeling pretty good, but keeping up on my meds and still pretty sore. I'm just dealing with it knowing it'll all be worth it in the end.

I have four drains, all coming out of my mons area. Occasionally I notice a few drops of blood coming out at the site where they're coming out of my mons. They're still draining properly. Should I be concerned? I have a message in to my surgeons office but was wondering if anyone else experienced this or if I should be concerned.

There tends to be a little drainage around the drain sites, sometimes clear, sometimes not.  I don't think it's a concern, but call your surgeon to confirm.

My doc told me to expect it a little.  I use pads around each drain to help catch any leakage.  Just had my 2 week follow up today and she removed drain # 3 (only have one left now) and told me to expect some leakage from the hole.

I'm 10 days post tummy tuck and I have leakage around my drain too. my doc said it was normal.
